I feel sore today, and all the credit goes to Tony Horton and his P90x3 Program. I have started the Classic cycle two days ago and I can feel it in my legs, shoulders and biceps. The first time I did this program about 18 months ago I did the Lean cycle and I saw some good results. And now that I am not training for a run I thought it a good time to get Tony out again.
I love his program for the following reasons:
- You can do it at home. All you need is a yoga mat, some dumbbells, a pull-up bar or resistance bands and good shoes (as Tony constantly reminds you, not running shoes!). You will also need a towel and lots of water as you will sweat a lot!
- It is only 30 minutes. Yes, that is right. 30 minutes and you are done. I know you can carve out 30 minutes a day for yourself. I have friends who do it at night once the kids are in bed or some get up 30 minutes earlier in the morning before work and do it then.
- It has great variety. You do a different workout every day so it never gets boring. The program includes workouts with weights, plyometrics, yoga, pilates, bootcamp style bodyweight exercises and agility and anaerobic focus.
- His personality and his passion for the program is reflected on screen. He is genuine and fun although not everyone likes his chit chat. But there are several options on how you want to run the dvds, including muting voice and/or music.
You can order Tony Horton’s P90x3 program or any other of his workout programs on Beachbody or on Amazon.
